October weddings can certainly be a hit or miss with weather. You can get a solid warm and 80 degrees, or luck out with cool 65/70 degrees without a cloud in the sky! That’s exactly what John and Malia had for their beautiful October wedding, at The Pavilion at Carriage Farm in Raleigh North Carolina. All of their friends and family came to celebrate such a loving ceremony behind the big red barn. The isle was decorated just so with flowers in mason jars, and the pergola topped with sashes and stunning eucalyptus greenery.
John was very stern about making sure he never saw his soon to be wife before she came down the isle, but both had wanted to have a moment together to read sentimental letters from each other as well as a heart warming prayer. We situated John down by a tree near the entrance of the venue, we had to face him towards the barn, which is where Malia would be coming down from. As we were assuring her that we would make sure that he wouldn’t peak John decalred , ” I SWEAR MY EYES ARE COMPLETELY SHUT!”, haha. John told us he was waiting anxiously for the delayed gratification of seeing her walking towards him down the isle, and you better believe he did just that! John turned around before they opened the doors for Malia and her dad to come out.
It was absolutely worth the wait.
The rest of the day went just as perfect as the first. There were sweet first dances, gorgeous sunset portraits, and crazy dancing! A huge thank you to all the friends and vendors who made their day so seamless and beautiful!
