The Workshop Experience | Raleigh Wedding Photographer | Raleigh, NC

Even though I may meet new clients all the time, I honestly have a really hard time being social and interacting with new people. It’s a little funny, seeming how my Job requires to do just that. It’s one thing to be with new clients and create an experience for them, but its a whole other thing to be around a dozen other photographers.

I had always wanted to do a workshop, it was on my immediate list of things to do this year. So when Caroline Logan shared that she was hosting one before the end of the year, I was stoked. It all fell into place, I was able to arrange all the things in order for me to be able to attend! I was so NERVOUS! How many photographers will be there? How many years have they been in business? Will they know a lot more than me? Will they be snoody? All of those fears were immediately put to bed once we arrived for the informal meet and greet the night before the workshop. Caroline greeted all of us with the most warming welcome! It was like we had been friends forever. We had ice cream, and played catch phrase, so so much fun!

The next two days were filled with A LOT of information, but above that Caroline shared her journey and helped us all realize, We all start somewhere. We aren’t alone, and if we can put our trust in God and know that he has a purpose for us and our business, we’ll do great things. I left on the third day with my creative fire lit and my heart full. Meeting and getting to know all of these wonderful ladies in the business, it was something I’ll never forget.

One of my favorite parts of the workshop was the styled shoot that Caroline orchestrated. She had the help of some amazingly talented vendors who honestly, created pure magic! Thank you to all of those who made this dreamy shoot happen!

I’ve always been super shy ever since I was a little girl. It took a lot of getting used to new faces. Breaking out of my shell wasn’t an easy task for me.
As the years went on I became more confident. I got involved in sports and made lots of friends. Now that I’m 33 I feel like I hold my guard up a little bit. I have faced many obstacles In life. Now that I’ve had to start over and move. It hasn’t been easy to adjust to. New home, new baby, new schoo,l for my 6 year old,new neighbors. I constantly say to myself… I wonder what the neighbors and people think of me. I wonder what there first impression is of me.
Being a stay at home mom has made me be able to sit down and see what other moms are up to! I started to develop a huge thing for blogs and Ig stories. Yours being one of them. I’ve always loved looking at the way someone can capture any moment. Something to hold dear and close to hour heart. Photography being one of them! Although we haven’t really been able to sit down and talk much. Following your photography page has been awesome. Hope that doesn’t sound creepy haha. You have such a passion and drive for your business. I can see how much it means to you. I actually look up to woman like you because not that many woman can say that they love there job. Not many can tell you that they can make up there own schedules and still be able to enjoy life and there family. So with that being said I just want to say keep on doing big things girl. Your work is beautiful! All the best to you!

All of these are so beautiful! I love your detail shots, especially the place settings (those figs!) and the one of the rings with the map. <3
